Operating Reefers:
Operating Reefers (or Refrigerated Containers) are available to provide cost-effective storage and transportation of perishable goods and/or temperature sensitive cargo. Reefers routinely provide seasonal or year-round storage for restaurants, food and beverage distributors, and have even provided temporary ice storage during emergency disaster relief efforts. Refrigerated Containers are also widely used for bulk shipments of chilled goods such as film and flowers, and a variety of frozen goods.
Non-operating Reefers:
Non-operating (or non-working) Reefers are in high demand for their superior insulating qualities that allow reliable dry storage of temperature-sensitive goods.
Used Reefers typically feature Carrier or Thermo-King machinery and are available in limited quantities and located mostly in port areas throughout the country. The standard power requirement is 3-phase 460VAC. New Production Units are also available throughout North America and Europe. All 20ft Reefers are available in standard 8-1/2 feet height only.
